Have you ever been a apart of an event that was unorganized? One person running to get tablecloths another realizing oh, I forgot the drinks or the eating tools, or having to prepare the room while attendees arrive because you didn’t give yourself enough time to get through the morning traffic or didn’t allow for the possibility on an accident on the road which would delay your arrival, thus causing the event to start late, and soooo many other scenarios that tell the story of un-organization. It’s chaotic and can be very frustrating to the planner as well as the attendees.
One thing I’ve come to know and have studied in others, as well as myself, when I don’t have it written down, when I don’t have a plan and things assigned to others aren’t written down and followed up on in a decent amount of time, we are bound to have a flop of an event if not a fail. These things also affect the desire or lack thereof for repeat support from the attendees.
Evaluating all these things helps me understand that every hour of the day must be mapped out ahead of time. Therefore, having a calendar and a daily schedule are key. Having an unplanned life will lead to an unproductive life, unproductive business, and unproductive future.
This brings me to three (3) scriptures in the bible that states:
1.) A people perish for Lack of Knowledge -My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.
2.) Let all things be done decently and in order.
3.) Write the Vision and Make It Plain – Then the LORD answered me: “Write down this vision and clearly inscribe it on tablets, so that a herald may run with it. For the vision awaits an appointed time; it testifies of the end and will not lie. Though it lingers, wait for it, since it will surely come and not delay.
Truth is people do better when they know better. This is why we are to train our children as they are to go. If we think back to our own childhood, some of us received trainings in areas we now go and many of us are having to figure this thing out and connect with coaches because it wasn’t known to give to us.
So, in life we perish when things aren’t taught and end up going through trials and tribulations that end up giving us wisdom for the next generation. Then we flourish when we’ve been taught, and we’ve understand the lessons to possess the land in which we set our heart to conquer. Moving on to the second scripture we see that it is important to do things in order. What is order? Why is order important? How do we get there?
Well, reading, searching out information, studying those who have gone ahead and succeeded before us. Moving on to the third step of writing it down, making sure we understand the direction in which we are going, as a map/GPS that gets us to our destination. It further goes on to say so that those who read it can follow it, leading me to believe and understand, it was never meant to us to go it along. Having partners or members to support, back, and help the vision come to fruition was always a plan for our success.
Picturing a well-organized closet, organized kitchen, having a well-organized purse/bag, or even comparing a high-end department store that has everything, colors and all in place verses a low-end department store that has great prices but you have to search through mounds of clothes to find what you’re looking for. Which do you prefer?
How does it make you feel? There is so much more clarity when there is order. When you think about it, more time is added to an organized persons day than one who is winging it day by day. Your mind is also more at ease to create because the environment is welcoming, not just to visitors, but to your soul.
